AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 455
OF THE GREENCASTLE CITY CODE
TO PROHIBIT HEAVY VEHICLES ON DESIGNATED STREETS
BE IT ORDAINED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Indiana, that the Greencastle City Code is hereby amended
by adding the following subchapter:
455 -10 Heavy Vehicles Prohibited On Designated Streets
A. It shall be unlawful for any vehicle, the combined weight of
which load and vehicle, including the driver, is more than
eight thousand (8000) pounds to be driven on the following
streets:
STREET FROM TO
Berry Street
Jackson Street
Ma le Street
Hanna Street
Jackson Street
Bloomington Street
Seminary Street
Jackson Street
Bloomington Street
This prohibition shall not apply to local deliveries.
B. The Superintendant of the Street Department of the City
shall have police power to arrest upon sight any person who
is seen violating or by warrant any person who has violated
any provision of this section.
C. Any person violating this section shall be fined not less
than $50.00 for each occurrence.
