Tiffin Planning and Zoning October 5, 2005
A regular meeting of the Tiffin City Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to
order by Chair Steve Berner at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the Tiffin Fire
Station. Planning and Zoning members present: Steve Berner, Stephanie Surine, Ruth
DeMuth, Melvin Reeve. Absent: Terry Richardson. Also present: Mayor Glenn Potter,
Karin Dils,Jim Bartels.
Motion Reeve, second Surine to approve printed minutes. Ayes: Berner, Surine,
DeMuth and Reeve. Absent: Richardson. Motion carried.
Members spent time in siudy and consideration of Regency Development Zoning and
Subdivision request for the area on the northeast quadrant of I-80 exit. A Public Hearing
is set for October 12, 2005 at 6:30p.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station for further consideration
and additional input from the public.
Motion Berner, second DeMuth to approve a conveyance of 66' right-of-way returned to
Schneider family along Interstate 80 and recommend city council to make transference.
Ayes: Surine, DeMuth, Berner, and Reeve. Absent: Richardson. Motion carried.
Members spent time in review of the final plat of Timber Ridge View Subdivision.
Motion Reeve, second DeMuth to recommend the final plat of Timber Ridge View
Subdivison for city approval upon review and approval of city engineer and city attorney
for compliance to all rules and ordinances of the city. Ayes: Berner, Reeve, DeMuth and
Surine. Absent: Richardson. Motion carried.
The update letter from FEMA in regard to insurance flood rate map was received by
Planning and Zoning and is directed to city engineer for review and response.
Motion DeMuth, second Suririe to adjourn. Motion carried. 7:40 p.m.
