AUTHORIZING APPLICATION USEPA
SPECIAL PROJECT (CSO) GRANT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret desires to make application for a USEPA Special
Project (CSO) Grant in the amount of One Million Four Hundred and Fifty One
Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($1,451,800.00) for combined sewer overflow
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Engineer Donald Norbut, of T&M Associates, has submitted
proposal for engineering services for the preparation and submission of the required
application package, with the cost of said services not to exceed Forty Five Hundred
Dollars ($4,500.00); and '~
WHEREAS, Mayor and Council have reviewed the proposal and the Chief Financial
Officer has certified the funds for the same are available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Donald Norbut, of T&M Associates, for the preparation
and submission of a USEPA Special Project (CSO)Grant Application in the
total amount of Forty Five Hundred Dollars ($4,500.00) is hereby approved;
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of the proposal;
3. The Governing Body hereby authorizes the Mayor and Borough Clerk to
execute any and all documents necessary for the preparation and submission
of the Grant Application.
Adopted this 5th day of April, 2001
and certified as a tree copy of the
original on April 6, 2001.
