AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Million Seven Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($1,750,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in Lower Meramec Tunnel I/I Source Reduction (13164) in Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21926 with SAK
Construction, LLC for sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitations is One Million Six
Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand Three Hundred Seven Dollars ($1,673,307.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-Six Thousand Six
Hundred Ninety-Three Dollars ($76,693.00);
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Lower Meramec Tunnel I/I Source Reduction (13164) in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21926
with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in
Lower Meramec Tunnel I/I Source Reduction (13164) in Unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 17th day of September, 2020.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on November 12, 2020.
