AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Million Seven Hundred
Seventy Thousand Dollars ($1,770,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
pump station improvements in Spirit of St. Louis 2 Pump Station (P-736) Replacement (12207) in
the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21944 with L.
Keeley Construction Company for pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is One Million Six
Hundred Thirty-Seven Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Nine and 49/100 Dollars ($1,637,179.49)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred
Thirty-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty and 51/100 Dollars ($132,820.51);
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Seven Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($1,770,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station
improvements in Spirit of St. Louis 2 Pump Station (P-736) Replacement (12207) in the City of
Chesterfield, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21944
with L. Keeley Construction Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station
improvements in Spirit of St. Louis 2 Pump Station (P-736) Replacement (12207) in the City of
Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 4th day of September, 2020.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
