Chairman Bortel called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Roll call was taken: Commissioners Derrick, Hagen, Hendericksen, Olsen, Rapp and Chairman Bortel
were present. Commissioners Barvian, Schmidt, and Lucas were absent.

Minutes from the Landmark & District Designation and Public Outreach Subcommittees Joint Meeting
held on May 2, 2019 were approved as presented.
OLD BUSINESS 15134 S. Fox River Chairman Bortel stated per ArchiSearch there 28 properties in the village that are upright and wings and
very few of these homes can be landmarked. The commission discussed landmarking the property and agreed it would good nomination for landmarking.
Commissioner Hendericksen suggested offering recognition, like a plaque for properties that are an asset to the community which will make owners aware they have a treasure. Chairman Bortel suggested
putting plaques in the yards of significant properties with the year it was built and the builder, like he has
seen in Charleston. Chairman Bortel also suggested creating a new historic district for the old part of town.
Historic Guidelines Manual No Update.
BTD Informational Brochure No Update.
Baker Project at Dillman and Joliet Road Chairman Bortel provided an update on the progress.
NEW BUSINESS
Code Enforcement
Mr. Goska, Mr. Spires, and the commission discussed how code enforcement finds violations and how they are resolved. Mr. Goska, Mr. Spires and the commission discussed demolition by neglect.
Demolition by Neglect No update.
24034 W. Lockport St. Façade Change Chairman Bortel suggested having the owner to attend the August LDDC meeting.

Chairman Bortel stated the Village will be recording the ordinances with the County for the properties
that have been landmarked and all future landmarks.
Chairman Bortel stated Commissioner Hendricksen may have a landmark nomination on Bartlett Ave.
