AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES/T&M ASSOCIATES FOR HILL DISTRICT AND
WEST CARTERET SANITARY SEWER INVESTIGATION
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional engineering services with
regard to the Hill District and West Carteret Sanitary Sewer Investigation; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's consulting engineer, T & M Associates, possesses the
requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, T & M Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering
services for a total amount not to exceed $166,500.00, pursuant to the firm's existing
contract with the Borough; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are, or will be, available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the above referenced proposal from T & M Associates for engineering
services related to the Hill District and West Carteret Sanitary Sewer
Investigation at a cost not to exceed $166,500.00 based upon the hourly rate set
forth in the firm's existing contract with the Borough is hereby approved.
2. That annexed hereto is a copy of the proposal; and
3. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services contract.
Adopted this 18th day of December, 2003
and certified as a tree copy of the
original on December 19, 2003.
