MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF
THE PLAINF'IELD POLICE PENSION FUND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
AUGUST 21,2019
A special meeting of the Plainfield Police Pension Fund Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, August
2l,2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the Plainfield Police Department located at 14300 Coil Plus Drive, Plainfield, Illinois
60544, pursuant to notice.
CALL TO ORDER: Trustee Cook called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. Due to calls for service the
meeting started thirty minutes late

Trustees Jeffrey Cook, Rich Meszaros and Michael Fisher
Trustees Andy Grod and Stephen Cousins

PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
APPLICATIONS FOR RETIREMENT/DISABILITY BENEFITS: Approve Regular Retirement Benefits
- Kevin Greco: Approve Regular Retirement Benefits - Kevin L. Greco: The Board reviewed the regular
retirement benefit calculation for Kevin L. Greco prepared by L&A. Commander Greco had an entry date of
July 10, 1989, retirement date of August 27,2019, effective date of pension of August28,2019,52 years of
age at date of retirement, 30 years of creditable service, applicable salary of 130,024.00, applicable pension
percentage of TSYo,amountof originallygrantedmonthlypensionof $8,126.50andamountof originally
granted annual pension of $97,518.00. A motion was made by Trustee Fisher and seconded by Trustee
Meszaros to approve Kevin L. Greco's regular retirement benefit calculated by L&A. Motion carried by roll
callvote.
AYES: Trustees Cook, Meszaros and Fisher
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Trustees Grod and Cousins
Approve Regular Retirement Benefits - Jason B. Kopek: The Board reviewed the regular retirement benefit
calculation for Jason B. Kopek prepared by L&A. Officer Kopek had an entry date of March 25, 1992,
retirement date of August 37,2019, effective date of pension of September l, 2019,5I years of age at date of
retirement, 29 years of creditable service, applicable salary of $102,333.00, applicable pension percentage of
7z.s}yo,amount of originally granted monthly pension of $6,182.62 and amount of originally granted annual
pension of $7 4,191 .44. A motion was made by Trustee Cook and seconded by Trustee Fisher to approve Jason
B. Kopek's regular retirement benefit calculated by L&A. Motion carried by roll call vote.
AYES: Trustees Cook, Meszaros and Fisher

ABSENT: Trustees Grod and Cousins

ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Trustee Cook and seconded by Trustee Meszaros to adjourn the
meeting at9:35 a.m. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for October 10,2019 at 6:00 pm.
