® AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SIZE OF DEPARTMENTS OF CITY GOVERNMENT
OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE, INDIANA, FIXING SALARIES FOR THE
EMPLOYEES OF SUCH DEPARTMENTS AND FIXING SALARIES OF CERTAIN OTHER
APPOINTED OFFICIALS FOR THE YEAR 1992
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, Indiana, as follows:
SECTION ONE That all eligible full -time members of the departments of the City of
Greencastle shall be paid longevity beginning the first day of the anniversary month oC the
fourth year of service. Longevity shall be based on 3�,, 4°1,,, and 5% of base pay: at 3 -5 years,
3 %; 6 -11 years, 4 %; and 12 years and over, 5 %. Full -time members shall be compensated for
authorized overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C.A. 207.
SECTION TWO That the Police Department shall consist of eighteen (I8) full -time
members and in addition, one (1) part -time dispatcher and five (5) part -lime school crossing
guards. Base pay ranges, including the maximum, shall be as follows:

SECTION THREE Thal the Fire Department shall consist of twelve (12) full -time
members. Base pay ranges, including the maximum shall be as follows:

That the Sewage Department shall pav to the Deputy Clerk- Treasurer of the City of
Greencastle for services rendered by the Deputy Clerk- Treasurer on behalf of the Sewage
Department during the year 1992 the sum of Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty Dollars
($2,950.00)
That the Sewage Department shall pay to the City Engineer of the City of Greencastle for
services rendered by the City Engineer on behalf of the Sewage Department during the year
1992 the sum of Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($13,200.00).
That the Sewage Department shall pay to each of the two (2) citizen members of the Board
of Public Works and Safety of the City of Greencastle for services rendered by the citizen
membersof the Board of Public Works and Safety on behalf of the Sewage Department during
the year 1992 the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.011).
SECTION EIGHT Thal the Department of Water Works shall consist of eleven (1 1) full -
time members and two (2) part -time members. On call wages shall be paid at a rate of one
hundred and fifty dollars per week ($150.110) per week. Base pay ranges, including the
maximum, shall be as follows:
