Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission July 5, 2006
A regular meeting of the Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order
by Chair Steve Berner at 6:30 p.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station, Wednesday, July 5, 2006.
Members present: Steve Berner, Shawna Colvin, Stephanie Surine, Terry Richardson
and Melvin Reeve. Absent: None. Also present: Mayor Glenn R. Potter, Ruth Demuth,
Jim Bartels.
The Planning and Zoning received the latest drawing of zoning proposal from Joe
Johnston. Proposal shows R-2 zone for the upper half of the approximately six acre
parcel and R-4 zoning for the lower half of the parcel. This is the proposal suggested by
Johnston for his ground in earlier meeting and approved in earlier meeting of the
Planning and Zoning for approval and consideration of the city council. Public Hearing
on this proposal is set for Wednesday,July 12, 2006 at the regular session of the Tiffin
City Council. No additional action from the Planning and Zoning on.this request.
Park/Public Space in zoning and subdivision requirements was further discussed. It was
considered that space below a pond should not be counted as park space available for
public activity.
No consideration at this time of trailing routes across the community.
