HomeMy Public PortalAbout3262-1977 - APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUNDORDINANCE NO. 3262-^1977 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND. WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the several appropriation herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same. AMOUNT . AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND S-4 (1100) Salaries & Wages, Reg. $20,000.00 $20,000.00 TOTAL $20,000.00 $20,000.00 SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations be reduced in the following amounts. AMOUNT AMOUNT RE VESTED REDUCED MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND Cash Operating $20,000.00 $20,000.00 TOTAL $20,000.00 $20,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Councilman Carter _ presided with the following members present: Messrs. Austerman , Cornett , Elstro , Merclianthouse , mills Paust T , Williams Absent: NONE The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of September 8 and September 13 Said notices stated that a public hearing would be held on the 3rd day of ___ __-Or, tober,_1977 , by the Common Council to consider additional appropria- tions as provided for in Ordinance No. 3262-1977 , within the. City of. Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman_ Mills moved the p roof.of publication and posting of notices be received and ordered filed, seconded by Councilman _ Austerman_ and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 3262-1977 Councilman Mills moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 3262-1977, seconded by Councilman Ahaus and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Councilman Mills moved to suspend the rules and place Ordinance No. 3262-1977 on third reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Paust. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 3262-1977 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of ttie roll the following was recorded Ayes: Austerman Carter , Cornett , Elstro , Nerchanthouse Mills Paust , Williams , Noes: Ahaus Absent: NONE , , The vote being 8 to 1 in favor of passage of Ordinance No3262-IQ77.
