AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A "SPECIAL USE" IN A C-3 CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT,
OF ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as
follows:
SECTION 1. As provided in Article 32, Section 32.01 and more specifically
provided in Article 48 of Ordinance No. 2325-1968, commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, the following described
use of the following described real estate is allowed as a Special Use for
a Gas Station at 900 North "A" Street, in the City of Richmond, Indiana;
more particularly described; to wit:
CW STARR ADDITION LOTS 156 AND 155
SECTION 2. As a condition of the aforesaid Special Use and as an additional
restriction on said use, the following requirements shall hereafter and at
all times be met by the owner, leasee or any person, firm or corporation
using such real estate.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond
City Plan Commission the day of� 1977, at which time re-
monstrances were heard from all parties nterested in or affected by this
Ordinance.
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was —52_
to D in favor of/ice recommending the passage of Ordinance
No. 3264-1977.
SECTION 5. The Planning Director of the City of Richmond, Indiana, is hereby
authorized and directed upon passage of this Ordinance to record and approve
the issuance of an Improvement Location Permit for the establishment of the
use herein allowed.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval as by law required.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
this 3-4 day of Pis 1977.

Re: Ordinance No. 3264-1977 - Plan Commission. Case 77-13,
Charles Newton, Jr., requesting Special Use for a Gas
Station at 900 North "A" Street
Dear Mr: Carter, Members of the Council and Mrs. Trimble:
The Richmond City Plan Commission held a public hearing on Tuesday,
September 27, 1977 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the,
Richmond Municipal Building to hear the request of Charles Newton,.
Jr., asking for a Special Use for a Gas Station in a C-3 Central.
Business District located at 900 North "A" Street.
Seven (7) letters had been sent to adjoining property owners and
three (3) were returned in favor and zero (0) opposed. There
were no remonstrators to speak against this petition.
It was the unanimous vote, nine (9) to zero (0), of the Plan
Commission to allow this Special Use in a C-3 Central Business
District.
