AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Million Four Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($1,450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for combined
sewer construction in DeGiverville Combined Sewer Improvements (11136) in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21897 with Gershenson
Construction Co. for combined sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said combined sewer construction is One Million Three
Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand One Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars ($1,347,164.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Two
Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-Six Dollars ($102,836.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for combined sewer
construction in DeGiverville Combined Sewer Improvements (11136) in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by
the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21897
with Gershenson Construction Co., as the lowest responsible bidder for combined sewer
construction in DeGiverville Combined Sewer Improvements (11136) in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 14th day of October, 2020.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on December 10, 2020.
