A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
TRAFFIC COMMISSION REQUEST TO STATE DIV-
ISION OF HIGHWAYS FOR APPROVAL OF MARKED
PARKING PLAN ON WEST SIDE OF ROSEMEAD BLVD.
BETWEEN LIVE OAK AVE. AND LAS TUNAS DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City
has received a recommendation from the Traffic Commission of the
City of Temple City recommending the installation of marked park-
ing stalls together with red curb markings on the west side of
Rosemead Boulevard from Live Oak Avenue to Las Tunas Drive in
order to assure maximum parking without crowding driveway ap-
proaches; and
WHEREAS, a plan has been provided by the Traffic Engineer
of the City of Temple City so indicating that red curb marking
would provide the necessary control to enable greater utilization
of the existing curb parking spaces; and
WHEREAS, such resolution shall cease to be operative six
months after by the City Council of written notice of the with-
drawal of approval of the Department of Public Works;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in accordance with
Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code the City Council of the City of
Temple City does hereby submit to the Department of Public Works
Division of Highways said attached plan for approval and issuance
of permit for installation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 27th day of May, 1963, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dickason, Fftzjohn, Merritt, Tyrell, Nunamaker
NOES: Councilmen- None
