AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.48.30, OF CHAPTER 17.48, TITLE 17, OF
THE MOAB MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE REGARDING AREA REQUIREMENTS. AN
ORDINANCE AMENDING MOAB MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION 17.48.030
WHEREAS, the City Council, on the advice of the Moab City Planning
Commission deems that it is necessary to amend the Moab Municipal Code with respect
to Area Requirements in the R-3 Zone.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
17.48.030 Area Requirements . An area of not less than seven thousand
two hundred square feet shall be provided and maintained for each one -family
dwelling and two thousand additional square feet shall be provided for each additional
dwelling unit. Schools, churches, boarding houses and other main buildings shall have
a building site area in which the area of the building is equal to or less than 20 percent of the
total parcel size area. The area required to meet the minimum off-street parking requirement
shall not be included in the calculation of the total parcel size. of lest seven thousand two

An area of not less than five acres shall be provided and maintained for each
planned unit development, except that there shall be no area requirements for additions

PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Moab in open
