All other terms, conditions, specifications, and requirements as noted in the original ITB remain unchanged and must be met. PART I – GENERAL: This Addendum has been issued on behalf of the City of Tybee Island. Attached at the end of this Addendum is sheet C2.2. Bidders should refer to the City’s webpage for additional information, updates, or addenda for the project at https://www.cityoftybee.org/bids.aspx?bidID=90. The following information should be considered by prospective bidders in preparation of their proposals and are hereby incorporated into the Proposal Documents. Bidders shall be responsible for acknowledging receipt of this addendum in the Proposal Form, Document 00313. Failure to do so will result in the proposal being considered non–responsive. PART II – QUESTIONS/COMMENTS: 1. If overlay is chosen, will concrete need to be flush with existing pavement or will it need to be patched according to Bituminous Pavement Replacement detail on sheet C2.2? Roadway Overlay detail has been added to sheet C2.2. For longitudinal cuts exceeding 150 ft in length, concrete will be brought flush with existing pavement and entire width of roadway resurfaced with 1” minimum of asphaltic concrete type 9.5mm superpave (s ee Roadway Overlay detail for illustration). * Base Bid will include line items for pavement replacement within each division as shown in Bituminous Pavement Replacement detail on sheet C2.2. *Alternative bid will include line item 10, “Resurface Roadway,” as an alternative to pavement replacement (see Roadway Overlay detail on C2.2). 2. Bituminous Pavement Replacement detail on sheet C2.2 does not indicate substantial concrete base under existing asphalt. Please clarify. Bituminous Pavement Replacement detail has been updated to include callout for approximately 10- inch-thick existing concrete base. See sheet C2.2 for updated detail. PART III – PLANS: The Plans shall be changed in the following respects: 1. Sheet C2.2 A. Bituminous Pavement Replacement detail has been revised. Thickness of concrete base has been increased. Delete “High-Early Strength Concrete (6” Min) 5,000 PSI” and replace with: \\COTIS5\Fin Restricted\RFP\RFP\2021-763 Lighthouse Area Sewer Phase 2 - Addendum 2.Docx “High-Early Strength Concrete 5,000 PSI (Existing Concrete Base Approx. 10” Thick)” B. Roadway Overlay detail has been added. PART IV – CONTRACT DOCUMENTS 1. Exhibit for 10th Street Sewer A. The following sentence has been added: “Manhole rim and invert elevations are approximate. Contractor shall verify all manhole elevations prior to beginning construction.” Any response to this ITB must have written on the outside envelope a certification by the bidder that they acknowledge receipt of, and compliance with, this addendum.
