HomeMy Public PortalAbout3062-1976- AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCEORDINANCE NO. 3062-1976 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968. BE IT ORDAINED BY the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968, designates and describes as R-3, ONE TO EIGHT FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT, the following described property located at 232 Ft. Wayne Avenue, in the City of Richmond, Indiana, more parti- cularly described as follows: That certain piece or parcel of land known and designated as Lot Numbered Eleven (11) in Isaac E. Jones Addition to the City of Richmond platted December 27, 1837, and recorded in Plat Book Volume 1, page 259, of the Plat Records of said Wayne County, and being the same premises conveyed to the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway Company by deed of Orlando C. Little, et. ux., dated February 9, 1900, recorded in Volume 114, Page 374, of the Deed Records of said Wayne County,. and also, the following described real estate in Wayne County, State of Indiana, to wit:. That certain piece or parcel of land known and designated as Lot Numbered Ten (10) in Isaac E. Jones Addition to the City of Richmond platted December 27, 1837, and recorded in Plat Book Volume 1, Page 259, of the Plat Records of said Wayne County, and being the same premises conveyed to the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway Company by deed of The Second National Bank of Richmond, Indiana, dated February 9, 1900, recorded in Volume 114, Page 375, of the Deed Records of said Wayne County. SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classification of the above described area from R-3 Muli- family Residential to M-1 Light Industrial, and, SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordi ance was conducted by the Richmond Ctty Plan Commission the .9 3 day off e e H , 1976, at which time remonstrances were heard from all parties interested in or affected by this Ordinance. SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was & to 0 in favor of f recommending the passage of Ordinance No. 3062-1976. NOW THEREFORE: SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above described property be, and the same is hereby changed to M-1 Light Industrial, and that said property be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto. SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as by law required. SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned area is hereby rescinded and the zoning classification of this area will be in accordance with Section 2 of this Ordinance. Wayne Avenue. The proposed use of this property is for office space for Mosey Manufacturing Company. All parties interested in or affected by this request were heard. There was no one present who spoke in opposition. Neighbors in the area were contacted, and there were no oppositions.
