HomeMy Public PortalAbout3065-1976- APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF 4000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND CASH OPERATING DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETYy ORDINANCE NO. 3065-1976 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM',OF FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ($4,000.00) FROM THE GENERAL FUND CASH OPERATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, POLICE DIVISION. OTHER GARAGE AND MOTOR SUPPLIES WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1: That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1976, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year, unless expressly.stipulated by law. SECTION 2, That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appro- priated from the General Fund, Cash Operating, the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT REQUESTED AMOUNT APPROPRIATED OTHER GARAGE AND MOTOR SUPPLIES $4,000.00 $4,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to ,the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. AMOUNT REQUESTED $4,000.00. AMOUNT APPROPRIATED $4,000.00 Taxpayers appearing at such hearing shall have the right to be heard thereon. The additional appropriations as finally made will automatically be referred to the State Board of Tax Commissioners. This Board will hold an additional hearing within the fifteen (15) days at the Wayne County Courthouse in the Auditor's Office or at such other place as may be designated. At such hearing taxpayers objecting to any such additional appropriations may be heard. Interested taxpayers may inquire of the Wayne County Auditor when such hearing will be held. i. City Cler EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City March 15, 1976 , at the hour of 7:30 p.m Councilman Mills presided with the following members present: Messrs. Ahaus , usterman , Cornett , Elstro , Merchanthouse Paust Williams, , Absent: Carter , The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of eneral circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of Marc 4th and March 11th Said notices stated that a public hearing on the 15th day o March 1976 by the Common Council to consider additional as provided or in Ordinance No. 3065-1976 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Cornett moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be rece-ve add ogered filed, seconded by Councilman Paust , and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 3065-1976 Councilman Paust moved for engrossment of Ordinances-1976, seconded by Councilman Austerman and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Councilman Williams moved to suspend the rules and palce Ordinance No. 3065- 1976 on third reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Austerman and on unanimous voice vote the motion eras carried. On March 15th, the Clerk read on third reading by title only Ordinance No. 3065-1976. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 3065-1976 was placed on final pasrk a or rejection and on a call of the roll the o owin was recorded: Ayes; M1 s , Cornett Aussterman , Merc anthouse , Elstro .
