HomeMy Public PortalAbout3072-1976 - APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF 12742.50 FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDORDINANCE -NO. 3072-1976 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $12,742.50 FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (CIGARETTE TAX) TO OUTDOOR PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have cdeveloped since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1976, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to the law governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law, SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is hereby appro- priated from Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund (Cigarette Tax) the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT AMOUNT RE U� Q ESTED APPROPRIATED OUTDOOR PERFORMING ARTS CENTER $12,742..50 $12,742.50 SECTION 3. The proof of publicat on and posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Williams moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received and ordered filed, seconded by Councilman Paust , and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 307�976 . Councilman Elstro moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 3072-1976, seconded by Councilman Faust and on unanimous. voice vote the motion eras carried. Councilman Paust moved to suspend the rules and move to 3rd reading by title only, seconded by, Councilman Faust and on unanimous v4l ce vote the motion was carri'e.d.
