BUSINESS WITHOUT FIRST OBTAT_= A LICENSE, PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFOR AND MATTERS PERTAINIM THERETO, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: SECTION 1. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that from and after the taking effect of this ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person, persons, firm or corporation to practice the business or profession of a clair- voyant, fortune teller, palmist, or astrologer or any otter business or profession wherein any such person, persons, firm or corporation shall profess or pretend to fortell the future within the said City without first obtaining a license so to do in the manner herein provided. SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation desiring to obtain a license for any of the specified in SECTION 1 of this Ordinance shall apply for the same to the City Controller who shall issue such license upon the payment of the such of $5.00 per day for each and every day such person, firm or corporation shall desire the same; provided, that one license may be issued to extend over any definite period upon the payment of the said sum per day for such period. SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of these rovisims of said Ordinance shall be fined in any stun not exceeding p$25.00 and each days violation thereof shall constitute a separate offense. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication as required by law.
