ORDINANCE 97-16
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8.04 OF THE MOAB MUNICIPAL CODE
REGARDING GARBAGE AND REFUSE.
WHEREAS, the Moab City Council deems it necessary to ensure
that the Municipal Code is in accordance with the City's in -effect
Solid Waste Collection Franchise Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MOAB that Chapter 8.04, Section 8.04.010 (C) and (F), Section
8.04-030, and Section 8.04.110 shall be amended to read as follows:
8.04.010 (C) "Minimum service" means the hi::c-}:ly collection,
removal and disposition of garbage and trash, or either of them,
placed at the point of collection pursuant to the Citv's Solid
Waste Collection Franchise Agreement.
(F) "Regulation container" means a garbage or trash

8.04.030 Accumulations vrohibi=ed. Fermenting, putrefying or
od_fcrouc cdor4 =or^us garage shall not be allowed to accumulate on
any premises, and any accumulation of garbage or refuse which
constitutes a rat harborage or nuisance or other condition
dangerous to the public health, safety and welfare is prohibited.
8.04.110 Collection by City or contractor. For persons
contracting for garage and refuse collection by the City or its
garbage contractor, the City or its garage contractor shall
collect, remove and dispose of all garbage and other refuse placed
in a regulation container in residential sections of the City et
