AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE EIGHT THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS
($8,370.00) FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND FOR R&S PROJECT NO. 15.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption
of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate
more money for various functions of the City Government than was appropriated
in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
INDIANA:
SECTION 1: That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions
for the year ending December 31, 1976, the following amount of money is
hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose
specified. Said sum being subject to all Laws governing the same. Such
amount appropriated shaZZ be held to include all expenditures authorized
to be made during the year, unless expressLy stipulated by taw.
SECTION 2: That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated fron
the Local Road and Street Fund to be used to
improve Williamsburg Pike at the intersection of Dana Parkway, the following
specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist:

SECTION 3: This Ordinance shaZZ be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the Laws of the
State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations.

Taxpayers appearing at such meeting shall have aright to be heard thereon.
The additional appropriations as finally made will be referred to the State
Board of Tax Commissioners, which Board, upon receipt, will :gold a further
hearing within fifteen days at the County Auditor's Office of said County,
or at such other place as may be designated. At such hearing taxpayers
objecting to any of such additional appropriations may be heard. Interested
taxpayers may inquire of the County Auditor when and where such hearing
will be held.

The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers.printed in the
Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of and _
Said notices stated that a public hearing would be held on the --����--day`of
J 1976 by the Common Council to consider additional- appropria-
tions as provided or in Ordinance No3 I97G , within the City of
Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publicationsting of notices were
examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman
moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be rece vMe an or ered
filed, seconded by Councilman Faust and on voice vote the motion
was carried.

Councilman Elstro zove�d for engrossment of Ordi1nance No. 3094-1976, seconded by
Councilman Nust and on unanimous voice vote, the motion was carried.
Councilman Elstro moved .to suspend the rules and place Ordinance No. 3094-1976
on ttii`rd reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Killi'ams and on unanimous
voi;,ce: vote. t4ee motion Kas carried.
After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 3094-1976 was placed on
