HomeMy Public PortalAbout3095-1976- APPROPRIATE 930 FROM CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDORDINANCE NO. 3095-1976 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE NINE HUNDRED THIRTY DOLLARS ($930.00) FROM CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (CIGARETTE TAX). WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1: That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1976, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all lams governing the same. Such amount appropri- ated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by taw. SECTION 2: That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated from the Currrulative Capital Improvement Fund (Cigarette Tax) to be used to improve Williamsburg Pike at the intersection of Dana Parkway, the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (CIGARETTE TAX) $930.00 $930.00 These funds are to be appropraated for the following project: To improve-Williamsburg Pike at the intersection of Dana Parkway SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations. Indiana, on the dates of July 9 and 16 . The proof of publication andpostingof notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Elstro moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 3095-1976, seconded by Councilman Raust and on unani'mous voice vote the motion was carried. Councilman Elstro moved to suspend the rules and place Ordinance No. 3095-1976 on tkt1rd reading by title only, seconded by, Councilman Carter and on unanimous yei'ce: vote the motion was carrie.d.
