ORDINANCE 97-19
AN ORDINANCE OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF MOAB
ANNEXING PROPERTY TO MOAB CITY
WHEREAS, the Moab governing body has received a petition for annexation of certain
property as described in Exhibit "1" hereto; and
WHEREAS, the property has been proposed for urban development as defined
by Utah State Law; and
WHEREAS, the governing body has held the appropriate public hearings
and given the appropriate public notice and received public input.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the governing body of Moab City that:
1. The property described in Exhibit "1" is hereby annexed into Moab City on
the following terms and conditions:
a. The annexation shall be subject to all regulations of the Commercial C-4 zone
(Moab Municipal Code Chapter 17.27).
2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.

Properties front North HWY 191, 2.26 acres are used as
a petroleum bulk plant, gas and diesel storage and
sales. 40 acres are currently undeveloped with
commercially developed property on the north along
HYW 191 and commercially developed and agriculture
along the west.
40 Average week -day trips.
792 ADT if Black adds a convenience store and Wang
builds a 50 unit hotel w/restaurant, lounge and
convention facilities.
HWY 191 is the main road for these parcels; UDOT is
considering a frontage road for any future development
increasing the safety of ingress and egress on the HWY.
There is already an easement for the "Wang Property"
allowing a hook-up to the sewer; water is available. The
"Black Property" is also in a position to hook into the
existing sewer.
