HomeMy Public PortalAbout3105-1976- APPROPRIATE 3500 FROM CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDORDINANCE NO. 3105-1976 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($3,500.00) FROM CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (CIGARETTE TAX). WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINCE BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, IND-TANA: SECTION 1: That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1976, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject Ito all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2: T'vt for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated from the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund (Cigarette Tax) to be used I - 10. to construct a sanitary sewer extension along Dana Parkway, the following specified amount to meet -the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (CIGARETTE TAX) $3,500.00 $3,500.00 These funds are to be appropriated for the following project: To construct a sanitary sewer extension along Dana Parkway. SECTION 3: This Ordinance shaZZ be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations. The additional appropriations as finally made will be referred to the State Board of Tax Commissioners, which Board, upon receipt, will hold a further hearing within fifteen days at the County Auditor's Office of said County, or at such other place as may be designated. At such hearing taxpayers objecting to any of such additional appropriations may be heard. Interested taxpayers may inquire of the County Auditor when and where such hearing will be held. The proof of publication ann posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Williams moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be rece ve an o ered filed, seconded by Councilman Paust and on voice vote the motion was carried. Counci'lman Elstro moved to suspend tKe rules and place Ordinance No. 3105-1976 on t[i,�rd-re.ading by title only, seconded by Counctlman Paust and on unanimous voice vote, the motion was carried.
