AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2325-1968, commonly known
as the City of Richmond Zoning Ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2325-1968 commonly known as
the City of Richmond, Indiana Zoning Ordinance and the Zone Maps made a part
thereof provide in C-4 for the sale, display and service of motor vehicles and
including major and minor repairs, and
WHEREAS, a majority of the motor vehicles sales, service, and display
facilities are nonconforming uses and are located in C-2 Community Business
District.
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to include in C-2 Community
Business District such uses.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the following shall be a permitted
use in Section 31. 002 of C-2 Community Business District:
Automobile, truck, and motor vehicle sales, service and display facilities
and major or minor vehicle repair only within said facilities, but excluding outside
storage of wrecked or junked vehicles; and motor vehicle sales area.
SECTION 3. The Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval by the Mayor and publication as by law required.
