HomeMy Public PortalAbout3108-1976- APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF 3000 FROM THE GENERAL FUNDAMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 310.8-1.976 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($3,000.00) FROM GENERAL FUND, CASH OPERATING, TO GENERAL FUND, DEPARTMENT OF POLICE L�27 MOTOR EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget., NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That .for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1976, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same.. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby dppro- priated from the General Fund Cash Operating the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND, DEPARTMENT OF POLICE L-27 MOTOR EQUIPMENT $3,0.00..00 $3,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Councilman Mills presided with the following members present: Messrs. Ahaus Austerman Carter Cornett , E'lst Merchanthouse Paust Wi'11i'ams Absent: _N4ina _.. , The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of Jul 2200 and 27th Said notices stated that a public hearing would held on the 2nd Ay --of Au ust 1976 by the Common Council to consider additiona�nppropria- ons as provided or in Ordinance No. 3108-1976 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publicat o�"'n and posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Williams moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be rece vMed and —oMered filed, seconded by Councilman Paust , and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 3108-1976 . Councilman Williams moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 3108-1976, seconded by Councilman Faust and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. Councilman Williams moved to suspend the rules and place Ordinance No. 3108-1976 on third -reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Paust and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 3108-1976 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll —tie following was recorded: byes; Ahaus , Austerman .
