M► ING A TAX LEVI: 0R INN TAX ZEAR 19500 AND FIXING THE MTIL G ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY IN THE YILLAGE.AT TEN (10).BILiS " There being no further basines duly made, seconded and carried AUGUST 28, 1950 The Council of Bal-Hartour Village met at the Administration Building, Monday, August 280 1950 at 8:I5 P. M. There were present: Messrs. Beatty, Simons and Whittaker.'- M Absent: Messrs. Graham, Jr. and:Stokely. Also present were Mr. W. H. Webb, Town Manager; Fred R.,Beisden, Town Attorney; and Mary Wetterer, Town Clerk. On motion of Mr. Whittaker, seconded by Mr. Beatty, the reading' of the minutes of the previous meeting of July 24, 1950 were dis penned with. Is thesabsenoe of Mayor;Robert C.%Grsham,4Jr., Vice-4tayor William"V. Simons presided at the meeting. Mr. (Webb informed the council of an application (ore Liquor License by Mr.Oharles F. Henry,. ownerof the Emerald _Isle .Hotel. After discussion it was moved by.Mr..Beatty, seconded by Mr. Whittaker, and unanimously voted that Mr. Henry's application.tor a Liquor.- License at the Emerald Isle Hotel be granted. The council discussed the,sdviseability of passing an ordinance prohibiting signs on'the apartment buildings in"Bal Harbour. Mr. Baisden also informed the council. that he had checkbd the possibility of having an ordinance regarding the removal of fij1'. from the village limits and found that it was not legally possible.: On motion of Mr. Beatty, seconded by Mr. Whittaker,iieet- ing adjourned. _ r SE TEMBER 27, 1950 .The Council of Bel_Rarbour Village met at the Administration Building Wednesday, September 27, 1950 at 8:00 o'clock P. Webb, Town Manager. • On motion of Mr. Stokely, seconded by Mr. Beatty, the reading' of the minutes of the previous meeting of August 28, 1950 were dispensed with. In the absence of the mayor, Mr. Grahah, Jr: and Vice -Mayor, Mr. Simons, Mr. Whittaker presided at the meeting.
