AN ORDINANCE: AMENDING CHAPTER 12.1 OF THE TOWN CODE TO IMZPLgM~NT
ADDITIONAL STAFF FOR THE PLANNING, ZONING AND
DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, there are currently 46 land development applications under review as opposed to 14
two and one-half years ago; and
WI~REAS, the engineering aspect of plan review will be improved with privatization and the
development of the design and construction manual; and
WI~, the planning staff must be enhanced to keep pace with the anticipated increase in
engineering plan review productivity; and
WHEREAS, a planning technician position is recommended to review plans submitted for
completeness and accuracy of fees and to monitor the progress of plans through the review process:
THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. Section 12.1-10 of the Town Code, ctassification of town employe~s by
occupational group and pay grades, is amended to read as follows:
