ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Lee~burg is V'u~'.i. as follows:
SECTION I. Chapter 2, Article VI, Department of Fimmce, Section 2-86.1 of the Town Code is
hereby amended as follows:
Sec. 2-86.1. Bad Check Fee~
The finance director ia authorized to collect a fee of $6.00 $20.00 for u[teri.ng,
publishing or pa~ of any cheek or draf~ for payment of town taxea or any o~Rer sum due,
which is sui~-~luently returned for insufficient funds or because there is no account or the
account has been closed. This fee is to be conected from the person who gives a check or draR
for such payment. The finance director may also refuse to accept checks as a form of payment
from anyone who has twice given such checks to the town within a period of two years.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in effect upon its passage.
