Plan Commission Record of Minutes
Date: September 17, 2019 Location: Village Hall CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE, & ROLL CALL
Chairman Kiefer called the Plan Commission meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and led the pledge to the flag. ROLL CALL: Commissioners Minnis, Renzi, Ruane, Seggebruch, Womack, and Chairman Kiefer were
present. Commissioner Heinen was absent. Plainfield Fire Protection District, Plainfield Public Library District, Plainfield Township Park District and Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202
were absent.
OTHERS PRESENT: Yuchen Ding, Associate Planner
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Chairman Kiefer asked for public comment and there was no response.
DEVELOPMENT REPORT Mr. Ding provided on the following; Maple Court Variance, Northpointe Final Plat Phase 2, and Northpointe Dorminate Special Service Area.
OLD BUSINESS Case No. 1842-061119.SU.SPR.FP SWC of Route 30 & Renwick Rd. Naser Odeh
Commissioner Ruane made a motion to continue proposed site plan review and special use permit for the
multi-tenant commercial development with two drive-thrus at the southwest corner of Renwick Road and U.S. Route 30 to the October 1, 2019 meeting of the Plan Commission.
Second by Commissioner Minnis. Vote by roll call: Renzi, yes; Seggebruch, yes; Minnis, yes, Ruane, yes; Womack, yes; Kiefer, yes. Motion carried 6-0.
NEW BUSINESS
DISCUSSION
Commissioner Renzi asked staff to provide a summary from the Traffic Committee regarding vacating Peerless St. for the proposed development on the southwest corner of Route 30 & Renwick Rd. Chairman
Kiefer asked staff if there has been anymore feedback from IDOT. Mr. Ding stated IDOT does not
recommend the Renwick Road access point.
