WHEREAS, Resolution 16-96 Recreation Center Board; and 2.84.030 OF THE MOAB MUNICIPAL THE ARTS AND RECREATION CENTER created the Moab Arts and WHEREAS, the original intent of Resolution 16-96 was to have staggered terms for members of the Board, NOW, THEREFORE, CHAPTER 2.84, Section 2.84.030 of the Moab Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows: 2.84.030 Terms of Office. For the first Board appointments, five members shall be appointed for two-year terms, and four members for one-year terms. All subsequent appointments shall be for two-year terms. Attest: /7j12 Sandra Beauregard Deputy Recorder C,A7 V/90 ORDINANCE #97-28 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.60.636 (A) OF CHAPTER 2.60, TITLE 2, OF THE MOAB MUNICIPAL ORDINANCES REGARDING THE PROHIBITION OF POLITICAL ACTIVITIES. WHEREAS, the City Council deems that it is necessary to amend the Moab Municipal Code with respect to the prohibition of political activities. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MOAB CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: That Section 2,60.636 (A) of Chapter 2.60, Title 2, of the Moab Municipal Ordinances be and the same are hereby amended and shall read as follows: 2.60.636 Political activity —Prohibition against. A. No employee in the classified service shall be an officer of a political party or hold political office within the city government while employed with the city. No city employee or official shall solicit verbally or by letter, or be in any manner concerned in obtaining any assessments, contributions, or services for any political party from an employee in the classified service.
