RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY AFFIRMING THE RECOMMENDATION OF
THE PLANNING COMMISSION IN DENYING THE ZONE
CHANGE REQUEST OF BEVERLY L. MEEK, ET AL. FOR
A CHANGE OF ZONE OF THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED
ON THE EAST SIDE OF ROSEMEAD BETWEEN HERMOSA
DRIVE AND GARIBALDI AVENUE.
WHEREAS, on June 3, 1963 Beverly L. Meek, et al, herein-
after jointly referred to as "Applicant," made application for
a change of zone between Hermosa Drive and Garibaldi Avenue, as
more particularly set forth in the Application of Applicant, to
change the zone of subject property from R -1 to C -1, and
WHEREAS, the matter was duly noticed, pursuant to the
Ternple City Municipal Code, for hearing before the Planning
Commission on July 1, 1963 at 7:30 o'clock p. m., in the City
Hall of the City of Temple City, located at 9664 Las Tunas
Drive, Ternple City, California, and
WHEREAS, the Applicant and all other parties desiring to
be heard upon the said application were given an opportunity
to be heard on July 1, 1963, at the time and place set for the
public hearing, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, upon close of the public
hearing on July 1, 1963 continued the matter for deliberation
to its regular meeting on July 15, 1963, and
WHEREAS, on said July 15, 1963 the Planning Commission
duly deliberated upon the merits of the application and adopted
its Resolution No. 63 -38PC denying the Applicant's request for
change of zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council after notice duly given, pur-
suant to the Ternple City Municipal Code, held a public hearing
upon the aforesaid application, at which time all parties de-
siring to speak were heard, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly deliberated upon the
matter,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby adopt by refer-
ence the factual findings contained in Sections 1 and 2 of the
Planning Commission Resolution No. 63 -38PC.
SECTION 2. The City Council, in addition to the findings
of the Planning Commission, does hereby find that the Planning
Commission will conduct hearings in relation to the adoption of
a master plan, concerning the real property of Applicants, with-
in the next sixty days; that any change of zone at the present
time could adversely affect the adoption of a master plan for
the subject area; that at such time as a master plan is finally
adopted by the City Council the Applicant may request the City
to reconsider the specific property of Applicant's in the event
the property as zoned in the master plan is unsatisfactory to
Applicants and that upon such request the City Council shall on

its own motion do such acts and things as shall be required to
reconsider the zoning of the subject area of Applicant's
property.
SECTION 3. Subject to the provisions of Sections 1 and
2 above the Applicant's request for change of zone is denied.
