It would be our intention to ask Mr. Paul Brockmann to continue to represent the Garden. I believe Mr. Brockmann would continue to bring great value, the highest integrity and sense of responsibility to service for the community of MSD users. He would be the Garden's representative, but Paul Brockmann isan independent voice that brings to the table the common interests of so many of our communities. During the past term, Mr. Brockmann attended the majority of the meetings and provided insightful discussion to the matters before the Rate Commission. I believe he also served as a member of the Public Affairs group on the Rate Commission and assisted in making the public hearings run smoothly. Mr. Brockmann has been a staff member of the Missouri Botanical Garden for more than 38 years. Through his skill, expertise, and dedicated service he has risen to head the Garden's major Division of General Services, in charge of all renovation and repairs, capital building projects, infrastructure installation and maintenance, real estate, security and other areas including compliance with all City, State, and Federal regulations. Mr. Brockmann has recently overseen the installation of an 8,400 sq ft porous asphalt and 6,000 sq ft porous concrete installation and bioretention swale at a recent parking lot renovation here at the Garden, which are just some of the sustainable features MSD is promoting for the future. 1 cannot think of a more qualified individual to continue to serve on the MSD Rate Commission, and 1 hope that you will consider him for reappointment. He would represent not only the Missouri Botanical Garden but also a wide array of other institutions interested in the success of the MSD, and he would continue to bring knowledge and expertise to his participation on the Rate Commission.
