the City of Miami, Beach -had requested that the gallonage charge;fOr
use of their-oottall be paid,monthly. It was decided.to bring this
up at the next meeting.
There being no further business before the meeting on motion of
Mr. Beatty, seconded by. Mr. Stokely the,meeting adjo ed.

The Council of Bel Harbour Village met at the Administrationl
Building, Tuesday, November 28, 1950 at 8:15 P. M.
There were present: pears. Beatty, Graham, Jr. and,,Whittaer
Absents Messrs. SiMons Ind Stokely,_
Also present were Mr. W..H. Webbi-Town Manager"; Mary Wetterer,
Town Clerk; 'and Fred Baisden, Town Attorney.

the'Kenilworth_Hotel.. These applications, were apprOved subject to .
Mr. Webbla ipproval on the number of care.
Applications were alio submitted'for 111.4611Sr Motore:atthe See
View Hotel and Gunnar W. Lind at the Kenilworth Hotel: Per Taxi
Permits. These applicatiens were 4.186 Approved subject to Mr.
Webb's approval. . • ,
Mr. Graham infOrmed the council that the Dade County Defense
Council had sent a Proclamation to be passed by all the communities
designating Secember10950, as "Civil Defense Day" and asked that
all citizens register as volunteer workers On motion Or Mr.
Whittaker, seconded by Mr.: Beatty, it wag unanimeusly'paised,and:- - -
the office was instructed to inform all residents Of the pro-
clamation.
NOVEMBER 20, 1950
Mr. Webb read to the council a letter from Mr. Claude Renshaw,
City Manager of the City of Miami Beach, asking that Bat Harbour
pay for their use of the City of Miami Beach outfall on a monthly'
basis instead of yearly. After discussion it was moved by Mr.
Whittaker, seconded by Mr. Beatty, and unanimously passed that
payments would be made in the future on a monthly basis.
Mr. Webb read to the council two letters from the State Fire
College in Ocala commending Chief Hale Wild Assistant Chief Zill
on their attendance at the last session of the College.
The councilmen present then received their salary for the past'
year.
Mr. Webb informed the council that certain mower parts -are now
almost impossible to secure and asked if the council wished to make
an appropriation to cover the purchase of a new mower. The council
decided that they would not be in favor of expending the money:at
this time and thought that it would be better to wait and see what
further developments would"take place.
Mr. Baisden read to the council two proposed ordinances and o
motion of Mr. Beatty, seconded by Mr. Whittaker, Ordinance No. 21
entitled:

on motion of Mr. Whittaker, seconded by Mr. Beatty, was unanimously
passed.
The.councilmen then examined the financial statements of the
village for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1950.
Mr. Whittaker suggested that some of the money in surplus should
be invested in United States Government Bonds to draw interest.

The Council of Bal Harbour Village met at the Administration
Building, Mondays. January:290,1951, at 8:00 P. M.
There were present: Messrs. Grahad; Jr.,Simone Stoke»,
and Whittaker '
Absent: Mr. Beatty
Also present were Mr. W. H. Webb, Town Manager,; MeryWitterert
Town Clerk; and Fred Baisden, Town Attorney.
The minutes of the previous meeting of NOvember 2$,•1950were
read. The minutes were corrected to read that Fincher,Motor Sales
applicatiods ler aAl4PriVealt'License and Taxi Permit it the Emerald
Idle Hotel were inpro4ed by:thei0oUncil. On motion of Mr. Whittaker,
seconded by Mr. Simonet -the minutes were approveeke Corrected.
Mr. Webb said that he hadcobtained information from -the bank
as to the government bonds to be purchased by the Village in the
amount of $5,000.00. A safety deposit box would be rented by the
Village and he and the mayor would deposit same at the time ofpurchase..

Mr. Graham, Jr. welcomed Mr. Harold L. Barnes, a resident of the
Village, to the council meeting.
Mr. Webb read to the council a letter from Mi. W. R. Culbreath,
Legal Attache for the Dade County Delegation of the 1951 Legislature,
notifying Bal Harbour of a hearing for .proposed legislation'. The
council decided that Bal Harbour had nothing to take .up the,
delegation at this time.
A letter was also read from Mr. Prank E. Solomen, Attorney for
