RESOLUTION NO.2018-79
RESOLUTION ORDERING THE
2019 HICKORY DRIVE STREET & UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
AND AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICAITONS
WHEREAS, a resolution of the city council adopted the 16th day of October, 2018, fixed
a date for a public hearing on the proposed 2019 Hickory Drive Street and Utility Improvement
Project, the improvement of Hickory Drive north of Hamel Road by reconstructing the existing
bituminous pavement, installation of storm sewer, and replacement of watermain; and
WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice for the hearing was
given, and the hearing was held on the 7th day of November, 2018, at which all persons desiring
to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated total cost of the improvement is $671,500.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of the city of Medina, as
follows:
1. Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the
feasibility report.
2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the council resolution adopted
the 16`t' day of October, 2018.
3. WSB and Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this
improvement. The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such
improvement.
4. The city council declares its official intent to reimburse itself for the costs of the
improvement from proceeds of tax exempt bonds.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Cousineau
and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Anderson, Cousineau, DesLauriers, Martin, Pederson
And the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
