REGARDING THE SALE
WHEREAS, the 1950 Code of Virginia has been amended to change the age of permitted sale or
delivery of tobacco products to minors; and
WHEREAS, the amended state code now forbids the sale or delivery of tobacco products to
persons under 18 years of age; and
WHEREAS, the state code also changed the penalty for violations from criminal ~o civil.
THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia Em follows:
SECTION I. Section 11-42 of the Town Code is hereby deleted.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage.
