RESOLUTION NO. 63 -332
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AUTHORIZING EXPENDI-
TURE OF FUNDS FOR PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF
PARK IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, Temple City Park is in need of improvement; and
WHEREAS, a study of park developments adjacent to or near
the Longdon, La Rosa, Cloverly Schools and the Junior and Senior High
Schools is required, and
WHEREAS, there has been allocated the sum of One Thousand
Dollars ($1,000.00) in the 1963 -64 Budget for necessary professional
services in respect to design of park facilities and improvements; and
WHEREAS, the architectural firm of Fickes & Fickes have sub-
mitted to the City a proposal by letter under date of December 3, 1963;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to proceed pursuant to the
said proposal of Fickes & Fickes,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby accept the proposal
of Fickes & Fickes as set forth in their letter of December 3, 1963,
a copy of which proposal is on file with the City Clerk and made a par;
hereof by reference, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to direct the said firm of Fickes & Fickes to proceed pursuant
to its terms, in an amount not to exceed the sum of $1,000.00.
SECTION 2. The officials of the City of Temple City author-
ized to execute checks for and on behalf of the City of Temple City arc
authorized to pay to Fickes & Fickes such amounts as shall become due
to Fickes & Fickes pursuant to the terms of the aforesaid letter of
December 3, 1963, upon approval of said sums by the City Manager.
SECTION 3. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
execute such documents as may be requested by the City Attorney to
carry out the intent of this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temple
City this 9th day of December, 1963.
