AN ORDINANCE:
ADOPTED October 11~ 1995
95-0-27 PRESENTED October 11, 1995
AMENDING SECTION 12.1-45(a) OF THE PERSONNEL MANUAL TO
INCLUDE THE VETERANS DAY HOLIDAY
WHEREAS, Article 15 - Holidays, of the adopted Town of Leesburg Personnel Manual does not
include Veteran's Day as an observed paid holiday for all town employees; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council authorized the observance of Veteran's Day 1993 as a paid public
holiday, per Resolution No. 93-216, and Veteran's Day 1994 per Resolution No. 94-202; and
WHEREAS, a formal amendment to the Personnel Manual regarding Veteran's Day is required;
and
WHEREAS, on October 3, 1995, the Town Council Administration and Public Works Committee
recommended the addition of Veteran's Day as a paid holiday to bring the town in conformance with
county, state and federal government, which observe this holiday.
THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:

PASSED this
12.1-45(a) of the Personnel Manual is hereby amended to include Veteran's Day.
This ordinance shall be in effect upon its passage.
