Board of Selectmen
May 31, 2016
A meeting of the Hopkinton Board of Selectmen was held on Tuesday,May 31,2016 at Town
Hall,18 Main Street,Hopkinton,Massachusetts.Selectmen Present:Brian Herr,Chairman,Todd
Cestari,Brendan Tedstone,John Coutinho (6:03 PM)and Claire Wright.Officials Present:
Elaine Lazarus, Director of Land Use and Town Operations.
OPEN PUBLIC SESSION:Chair Herr opened the Public Session at 6:00 PM in Room 215
with the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPOINTMENT Temporary member of Board of Registrars of Voters.
It was noted that the reason for the emergency meeting is that the Board of Registrars of Voters
must oversee the Board of Health election recount process on June 3,2016,and a member of the
Board will recuse themselves.Town Clerk Connor Degan explained the circumstances to the
Board and recommended Eric Sonnett for the Republican seat on the Board of Registrars of
Voters.
MOTION to appoint Eric Sonnett as a temporary member of the Board of Registrars of Voters
for the purpose of overseeing the recount of the Board of Health election process; MOVED by
Mr. Coutinho, SECONDED by Mr. Cestari. VOTE to approve (50).
6:30 PM MOTION TO ADJOURN; MOVED by Mr.Coutinho,SECONDED by Mr.
Tedstone, VOTE to approve (50).
