AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00)
FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE CITY COURT BUDGET, SERVICES PERSONAL
(1-12-124) CORRECTION OFFICER.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary
to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City
Government than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDA114ED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its
institutions for the year ending December 31, 1975, the following
amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund
named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to the
laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to
include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly
stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is hereby appro-
priated from the GENERAL FUND the following specified amount to meet
the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist:

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the
laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.

EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session
in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City April 7,,
1975 , at the hour of 7:30 P.M.
Councilman Merchanthouse presided with the following members present: Messrs.
Brown Cornett Elstro Geier
Hilton Marino Mills Williams ,
Absent: None.
The following business was had to -wit:

The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the
Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of March 19 and March 26, 1975 .
Said notices stated that a public hearing wou a held on the 7th day of
April 1975 , by the Common Council to consider additionafappropria-
tiions as provided for in Ordinance No. 2989-1975 , within the City of
Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication n and posting of notices were
examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Marino
moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be rece v�i� and-o—r-dered
filed, seconded by Councilman Hilton , and on voice vote the motion
was carried.
The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance N0.29g9-1975
Councilman Mills moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 2989-1975, seconded by
Councilman Williams and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Councilman Williams moved to suspend the rules and place on third reading by title
only Ordinance No. 2989-1975, seconded by Councilman Mills and on unanimous voice
vote the motion was carried.
The Clerk read on third reading by title only Ordinance No. 2989-1975.
After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. Z9 was placed on
final passage or rejection and on a call of the rolge o t owing was recorded:
