Public Hearing
April 9, 1991
The City of Greencastle conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, April 9, 1991
at the Miller Education Center. The hearing was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Mayor
Harmless. Present for the proceedings were Mayor Harmless, Clerk- Treasurer Berry,
Councilor Sedlack, Councilor Conway, Councilor Rokicki, City Attorney Larry Wilson,
City Engineer Ron Smith, and Tami Parker of GDC.
Mayor Harmless explained the modification of Grant No. ID 89 -014, Wal -Mart
Stores, Inc. Councilor Conway asked if the modification of the grant necessitated an
additional expenditure of city funds. Mayor Harmless noted that it did not, and that
the city would be applying for an IDGP for the amount necessary to fund the change
order to the southern highway project to meet the road improvement requirements of
the Wal -Mart facility.
Councilors Roach and Nlurray entered at this time.
Councilor Sedlack requested information regarding the placement of stoplights
on the southern highway. Mayor Harmless staled that one light is to placed at the
intersection of SR 231 and the southern highway, one at 10th Street and the southern
highway, and one at the intersection of Indianapolis Road and the southern highway.
With no further comments or questions the public hearing was adjourned at 7:30
p.m.
