HomeMy Public PortalAbout2993-1975 - APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF 12000 FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUNDORDINANCE NO. 2993-1975 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($12,000.00) FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (CIGARETTE TAX) FOR STREET MATERIALS. WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adop- tion of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appro- priate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its insti- tutions for the year ending December 31, 1975, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund (Cigarette Tax) the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: Ai-40UNT REQUESTED AMOUNT APPROPRIATED STREET MATERIALS $12,000.00 $12,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Councilman Geier moved for suspension of the rules and read Ordinance No. 2993-1975 on third reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Williams and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
