AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE SEVEN HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($706,600.00) FROM THE LOCAL ROAD & STREET FUND FOR R & S #111
RIGHT OF WAY, ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION OF WILLIAMSBURG PIKE.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government
than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its insti-
tutions for the year ending December 31, 1975, the following amount of
money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and
for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing
the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expendi-
tures authorized to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated
by law.
SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated
from the Local Road & Street Fund to be used for R & S #11, Right of
Way, Engineering and Construction of Williamsburg Pike, the following
specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared
to exist:

These funds are to be appropriated for the following project:
R & S #11, Right of Way, Engineering and Construction of Williams-
burg Pike.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws
of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.

The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the
Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of Antil29 and Mav 1. 1976
Said notices stated that a public hearing Would be held on the 119g1�hh day of
by, the Common Council to consider additional appropria-
ons as provided or in Ordinance No. , within the City of
Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were
examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Marie
moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received and o�r'dered
filed, seconded by Councilman Mills , and on voice vote the motion
was carried.

Councilman Brown moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 2996-1975, sWqAW by
Councilman Cornett and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
Councilman Elstro moved for suspension of the rules and read Ordinance Me. 2996-
1975 on third reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Hilton and on unanimous
voice vote the motion was carried.
