Adjournment y Y ,0. + • • r a ' y f x Revised City of Tiffin Planning,and Zoning Commission Wednesday January 6, 2010 Tiffin Fire Department Meeting Room The Chairperson Steve Berner called the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to order at 6:50pm. The results of the roll.call of Commission'members present were Steve Melvin Reeve, ;. and Stephanie Surine. Absent were Shawna Colvin and Jim Schmidt. Also present at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting were Mayor Royce Phillips, City Council person Travis Weipert and the City Clerk Ruth Demuth. A motion was made by Stephanie Surine and seconded by Melvin Reeve for approval of the Agenda as printed. A motion was made by Melvin Reeve and seconded by Steve Berner for approval of the December 2, 2009meeting minutes.. New Business: • Commission members'reviewed plat map and discussed the request made by the Woodfield Ridge developer Mike Roberts to eliminate the fence from the final plat and sub-dividers agreement that borders on the southerly boundary of the Planned Area9Development on Outlot Two of Part One. Recommendation made by Steve Berner and seconded by Melvin Reeve to eliminate the fence. Ayes: Steve Berner, Melvin Reeve and Stephanies Surine. Absent Shawna Colvin and Jim Schmidt. Discussion held by Commission members`ori the request made by Little Clippers Child Development Center for an easement on City owned Green Space to the east of the Center. Easement map was not available"for review during discussions. Recommendation made by Stephanie Surine and seconded by Steve Berner to approve the easement request to Little Clippers Child Development Center with maintaining the area and with the contention'that the easement would be re-evaluated upon the sale of the lot and the easement request would be void if property is no longer a Day Care Facility. Aye: Steve Berner, Melvin Reeve, and Stephanie Surine. Absent Shawna Colvin and Jim Schmidt. Old Business: r Chairperson Steve Berner updated information obtained from the Building Official Ed Johnson regarding the sidewalk and parking near the building site of the Building #2 of the Rogue Development Storage Condo Units. Johnson measured arid is assured that there is adequate = space for parking and sidewalk requirements adjacent to thebuilding site. He'reported that the plantings on the site plan would be installed in the spring of 2010. Mayor Phillips reported that he had telephone conversations with the Postal Service District and • Midland Regional Directors 'regarding the addressing changes for the residents within the city limits of Tiffin, Iowa. He stated that he was waiting for their return calls on his concerns. Commission members had inquired on the status of the concrete wash out stations in the new developments.. It was reported that this topic would be included on the City Council January I Work Session. Motion made by Melvin Reeve and seconded by Stephanie Surine for adjournment at 7:00pm.
