AN ORDINANCE: PRESENTED April 14, 1998 98-0-06 ADOPTED April 14, 1998 AMENDING SECTIONS 12.1-17 AND 12.1-26 OF THE TOWN CODE AND PERSONNEL MANUAL WHEREAS, the personnel office, Personnel Committee and Administration and Public Works Committee recommend changes to the Town Code and Personnel Manual. THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. Section 12.1-17 Pay Determination (d) Other Pay Adjustments. (5) Position Reclassifications. When an employee's position is reclassified to a higher grade within the classification plan, he/she shall be placed in the minimum step within the {:lass, which equals or exceeds his/her previous rate of pay. The employee may receive a percentage increase in certain situations when approved by the Town Manager. SECTION II. Section 12.1-26 General Performances Standards. The rater's written employee evaluation shall be provided on forms furnished by the Personnel Director. These forms shall measure employee performance numerically. Each performance element is evaluated using the following numerical ratings: "U" - Unsatisfactory - 1 "L" - Lacking - 2 "S" - Satisfactory - 3 "G" - Good - 4 "E" - Excellent - 5 The individual element ratings are then totaled. The service increment percentage awarded will reflect the evaluation score as follows: Performance Evaluation Score Service Increment % 26 30 28-30 5 21 25 23-27 4-.5 4 ! 5 20 18-22 4 3 -141--14 10-17 3 1 ~ 0-9 0 SECTION III. Section 12.1-26 General Performance Standards. Items (1) - (6) Performance Elements. -2- ORDINANCE: AMENDING THE PERSONNEL MANUAL All references to Fair shall be changed to Lacking. SECTION IV.
