AMENDING SECTION 11-81(H)(2), OF THE TOWN CODE
CHANGE THE OPERATING HOURS OF ALL TOWN PARKS
TO
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department has requested the change of
the operating hours of all town parks; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission has endorsed the
change; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Police Department has endorsed the change.
THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. Chapter 11-81, Section 11-81(h)(2) of the Town Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Section 11-8 l(h) Park operating policy.
(2) Hours. Parks shall be open to the public every day of the year
from ~:OO A.M. tc !O:OO P.M. dawn to dusk except park facilities with special
hours of operation which shall be posted thereon. Special permission from the
Director or the Director's desi_maee is required for any persons to remain in
any park area outside regular hours.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in effect upon its passage.
