RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF NEW
CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES FOR
LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES OF THE SHERRIF OF
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, RETAINING THE PRIOR
LEVEL OF ENFORCEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Sheriff of Los Angeles County has heretofore
acted as the law enforcement agency of the City of Temple City
by contract with the County of Los Angeles; and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City desires to renew its con-
tract with the County of Los Angeles for law enforcement ser-
vices of the Sheriff of Los Angeles County for the same level of
service under the current rates of the County of Los Angeles,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and direc-
ted to enter into that certain contract with the County of Los
Angeles, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A"
and made a part hereof as though set forth in full, the City
Clerk to attest to said contract as provided thereon.
SECTION 2. It is hereby requested that the Board of
Supervisors or its designated agent or agency approve and autho-
rize the performance of services requested in this resolution
subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the contract
attached to this resolution as Exhibit "A ".
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adop-
tion of this resolution and cause a certified copy thereof to
be forwarded to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Los
Angeles County, the Sheriff's office of Los Angeles County,
and the Chief Administrative Officer of Los Angeles County.
