AN ORDINANCE:
AMENDING ARTICLE VII. SEC. 2-91 OF THE TOWN CODE TO
INCREASE MAYOR'S COMPENSATION
WHEREAS, the compensation for Mayor has been budgeted for an increase in Fiscal
Year 2001 in accordance with past increases for Councilmembers:
THEREFORE, ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. Article VII, Section 2-91 of the Town Code is amended as shown:
Sec. 2-91. Mayor and Councilmembers
Compensation for the mayor and members of the Council, after July 1,
2000, shall be $7,500 $8,500 and $8,000 per annum, respectively,
payable in equal monthly installments.
SECTION 11. This ordinance shall be in effect July 1, 2000.
