A RESOLUTION: SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE RECREATION
OUTREACH TO COMMUNITY KIDS (R.O.C.K.) PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg's Department of Parks and Recreation operates a
Community Outreach Program that provides recreational opportunities to children living within
identified neighborhoods in the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town has received a donation of $1,000 from The Dick's Sporting Goods
Foundation in support of Recreation Outreach for Community Kids (R.O.C.K.) program; and
WHEREAS, the program staff may purchase at their discretion sporting goods equipment
from Dick's to meet the needs of the R.O.C.K. program.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Fiscal Year 2020 General Fund operating budget for the Department of Parks and Recreation is
hereby amended, and a supplemental appropriation is made in the amount of $1,000 for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 2019 and ending June 30, 2020 for use in the R.O.C.K. program.
